Hallo alle!

Ich habe vor, einer bushcrafterin in australien, birch-bark zu schicken.
Habe auch diesbezüglich schon kontakt zum australischen zoll aufgenommen.

Wie ich nun herausfinden konnte, ist es an sich kein problem birkenrinde nach australien zu versenden, wenn diese ... "All material in the consignment must be thoroughly dried and not capable of propagation". ...
(Alles Material in der Sendung muss gründlich getrocknet und nicht der Vermerung in der Lage sein)

Nun meine fragen:
Ist es überhaupt möglich birkenrinde gründlich zu trocknen & brennt die dann überhaupt noch?

Ist dann überhaupt noch ausreichend etherisches öl in der rinde?

Was könnten die meinen mit "gründlich getrocknet"? Nur so weit, daß die rinde ausen nicht mehr feucht ist? Also, feucht vom regen od von der luftfeuchtigkeit her?

Non-Commercial

1. An Import Permit is not required.

2. All material in the consignment must be labelled with full botanical names i.e. genus and species. Each package must be labelled. Alternatively if the goods are easily identifiable, then there is no requirement of the botanical nomenclature.

3. All material in the consignment must be thoroughly dried and not capable of propagation.

4. Each consignment will be subject to an inspection to verify that it is free of prohibited seeds, bark, live insects, soil and other quarantine risk material.

5. If the consignment does not meet the above conditions it will be treated as detailed in the Commercial conditions below, re-exported or destroyed.

Zum punkt 2:
Da reicht es doch aus, wenn ich "Betula alba" schreibe, oder? Gattung & art. Ich finde es verdammt schwer, wenn nicht sogar unmöglich, im wald genau zu bestimmen um welche art es sich handelt. Erst recht wenn nicht mehr viel von dem baum rum liegt.
